TIM JACKSON has withdrawn from the 2014 U.S. Senior Open Championship on Wednesday, July 9, because of a back injury.

Jackson, who won the 1994 and 2001 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, was the medalist in at the Nashville, Tenn., sectional qualifier.

He will be replaced by Bill Breen, of Nashville, Tenn., the first alternate from the same sectional qualifying site.

Breen, who will compete in his first Senior Open, shot 72 at Hillwood Country Club on June 17.

NOTE – Wednesday’s practice round was delayed two hours and 30 minutes due to weather. Play will begin at 9:45 a.m. CDT.
