PGA TOUR CHINA / LATINOAMÉRICA GRADS HEADING TO WEB.COM TOUR – PGA TOUR China wraps up its 2014 campaign this week with the Tour Championship presented by CTS in Shenzhen.  At the conclusion of the event on Sunday (Nov. 30), the Tour’s five leading money winners based on its 12 events this year will earn 2015 Tour membership. An additional five graduates from PGA TOUR Latinoamérica will be finalized at the conclusion of the 109° VISA Open de Argentina presented by Peugeot on Dec. 7th. “The Five” from PGA TOUR Canada who earned Tour cards were identified at the conclusion of their season in September.

COVER BOY – Recent Tour graduate Tony Finau is featured on the cover of the Nov. 21st issue of Golfweek magazine. The cover tease reads, “Long-driving rookie Tony Finau injects the PGA TOUR with a dose of star power.” The Utah native has four top-14 finishes in five PGA TOUR starts this fall and ranks 14th in FedExCup points, second only to No. 12 and recent tournament winner Nick Taylor among his fellow Tour grads. Also featured in the issue is 2014 Player of the Year Carlos Ortiz.

DID YOU KNOW? – Tony Finau’s younger brother (by 11 months), Gipper Finau, is in the Tour record books as the youngest player to make a 36-hole cut. He accomplished the feat at the 2006 Utah Championship. At the same tournament, he became the third-youngest person to play in a Tour event (is now the fourth).
