The Iconic Golden Eagle motif first appeared on Lyle & Scott Attire when this premium clothing brand launched the golf wear range in the 1960s.

The Eagle represents not only the Lyle & Scott brands reputation for reliability and quality but is also, of course, a universal golfing expression for completing a golf hole in two under par.

Lyle and Scott 1960 picLyle & Scott’s superior craftsmanship, quality fabric and simple silhouettes became very popular among the well dressed and fashion conscious golfers of the early 60s.

Major golf champions like Gary Player and Tony Jacklin, as well as A-list golfing fanatics such as Bob Hope and Bing Crosby adorned Hawick’s finest golf clothing in this decade.

The Lyle & Scott brand has now taken a contemporary step back in time with a modern twist to create a collection which has been inspired by the birth of the British made 1960 collection.

Very appropriately, this has been named the Lyle & Scott 1960 Clothing Collection.
