PGA TOUR Digital continues to expand its portfolio of PGA TOUR Radio programming with this week’s debut of Golf Talk America, a free audio stream available weekdays from 9 – 11 a.m. ET on PGATOUR.COM.

The show will focus on news and notes from the world of golf, as well as feature the latest in music, sports and entertainment. Fans can access the live audio player directly by logging on to The show will be available for streaming on both computers and mobile devices, and archive versions of the program will reside on the Golf Talk America website

Produced by Golf Talk America Corporation, Golf Talk America will be hosted by Virgil Herring, a popular golf radio host in Nashville, Tenn., and the 2003 Tennessee PGA Teacher of the Year. Joining him will be longtime touring professional Danny Briggs, a six-time member of the PGA TOUR with nearly 200 starts and 500 rounds played in his PGA TOUR career, as well as former Vanderbilt University standout and Asian Tour winner Ned Michaels.

The 10 additional hours of weekly live audio provided by Golf Talk America brings the total amount streaming on PGATOUR.COM to 56 hours per week, including 32 hours of free golf talk programming and 24 hours of play-by-play coverage (which requires a modest fee in North America, but is free elsewhere).

In addition to Golf Talk America, the following programming is available most weeks: Talk of the TOUR streams Monday – Wednesday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. ET and Thursday – Friday from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. ET; Afternoon Tee can be heard Monday – Wednesday afternoons from 1 – 3 p.m. ET, followed by The G.A.M.E. from 3 – 5 p.m. ET; PGA TOUR Countdown streams each Saturday and Sunday morning from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. ET most weeks; and the PGA TOUR Sunday Night Rap presented by Horizons Exchange Traded Funds can be heard from 6 – 8 p.m. ET or following the completion of play most Sunday evenings.

The owner is a golf fanatic who had to retire early from competitive tour play due to a back injury that required surgery.
