26 June 2014: Jonathan Brock recovered from two bogeys in the first two holes to shoot level par for the rest of his round and win the HKGA June Stapleford at Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club.

Five-handicapper Brock finished on 34 points, two ahead of Simon Wong Sai-Man in the Men’s Gross division, while Miranda So won the Ladies’ Gross with 27 points.  David Chung Ping-Yin (44) and Can Li (39) were the winners in the Men’s and Ladies’ Nett divisions.

Another capacity field took part in the popular event for Hong Kong Golf Association (HKGA) subscribers.  Further upcoming HKGA tournaments include the Albert KW Lai Junior Tournament (7 July) on the New Course at Hong Kong Golf Club and the July Stableford (July 15) back at Clearwater Bay.

Leading final scores: Men’s Gross: 34 – Jonathan Brock; 32 – Simon Wong Sai-Man; 30 – Cyrus Lee, David Chung Ping-Yin. Ladies’ Gross: 27 – Miranda So; 26 – Charlotte Ng Sze-Nok; 25 – Leong Kuo-Wa. Men’s Nett: 44 – David Chung Ping-Yin; 43 – John WK Yiu, Simon Wong Sai-Man; 39 – Jonathan Brock, Robert Barber. Ladies’ Nett: 40 – Miranda So; 39 – Can Li; 38 – Liu Gai-Yee Katy.
