PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (October 7, 2014) – From the moment the PGA TOUR’s new wraparound season began in October to the day it ended the following September, the 2013-2014 season produced a wealth of highlights from the expected to the unexpected.
In the end, Rory McIlroy had a season to remember and firmly established himself as the world’s No. 1 player and Player of the Year while Billy Horschel charged through the Playoffs with victories in the final two events to win the FedExCup. PGA TOUR 2014: Season in Review presented by Barclays, a one-hour special airing on NBC Sunday, October 12, at 2 p.m. ET, highlights the stories from this landmark season, as well as delves into the major champions, breakthrough players, and emerging trends on TOUR.

Rory McIlroy – McIlroy re-establishes himself as the No. 1 player in the world, winning three straight events, including The Open Championship, PGA Championship and the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational.
Martin Kaymer – The former No. 1 player in the world has a resurgence, winning THE PLAYERS and U.S. Open, both in wire-to-wire fashion.
Bubba Watson – Watson continues to dominate Augusta National, winning his second career green jacket, to go along with a victory at the Northern Trust Open.
Billy Horschel – Horschel ends the season in grand style with a T-2 at the Deutsche Bank Championship and victories at the BMW Championship and TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola to capture the FedExCup.
Rickie Fowler – Buoyed by a revamped swing, Fowler makes history by becoming just the third player in history to finish in the top-5 in all four major championships.
