Overnight leader, Gary King of Tyrells Wood Golf Club was joined at the top of The Simpson & Marwick Championship Leaderboard on the 2014 PGA Europro Tour after 36 holes at Royal Burgess Golf Club, Edinburgh, Scotland.

King, added a three under par, 67, to his opening round of -6, 64, for an aggregate score of -9, 131, heading into tomorrow’s final round.

Jack Colegate of  Deangate Ridge Golf Club (pictured), moved into a share of the lead by adding a second round score of -4, 66, to go with his first round score of -5, 65. Both the leaders will played together in the final round at Royal Burgess.

Next best placed on -8, 132, is former NCAA University of Houston Golf Team member, James Ross, of the host club.  The GB&I Amateur Golf International and winner of the 2013 Scottish Amateur Golfer of the Tear, posted scores of -5,67, and -3, 67, to be right in the mix going into the SKY Sports televised final round.

Marcus Armitage from Howley Hall is next best placed on -7, 133, followed by the in-form Scottish player, Neil Fenwick of Dunbar Golf Club on -6, 134.

There are five players on -5, 135, who have still a great chance of winning this PGA Europro Tour Golf in Edinburgh event tomorrow. Royal Burgess is a very ‘soft’ golf course where players of this high calibre can shoot in the mid to low 60s, so therefore the leaders will probably have to break par tomorrrow to stand a chance of victory.

The leader Gary King is in great form and comes into this event having recently won on The Jamega Pro Tour, but local amateur player, James Ross and fellow-Scot Neil Fenwick will be players to watch. Spectators are welcome to go along and there is no charge for watching some of the future golf stars.
