The English Golf Team lead on -3 after the opening day’s play of the 2014 European Women’s Amateur Golf Team Championship at Ljubljana, Slovenia.

England Golf have a two shot advantage over Sweden and Italy heading into the second and final qualfying round to decide the eight teams that advance to the matchplay knock-out stage.

The Irish Golf Team are on +6 and three shots behind the ladies golf teams in pole position to secure championship flight matchplay spots.

The Welsh Golf Team are lying in 13th place, and along with the Scottish Golf Team who are lying 14th, are unlikely to make the top eight who will contest the championship flight.
