The GolfblogspotUK website is owned and run by former tour player, Graham J Gordon, from Scotland, the Home of Golf.

The owner is a golf fanatic who had to retire early from competitive tour play due to a back injury. I wish to share other golfing followers knowledge and my own experiences with the GolfblogspotUK community.

I have been playing the game for over 20 years and have received a great deal of pleasure from the sport. I have met many friends and visited many different places around the world, thanks to playing the great game of golf.

My boys golfing memories include playing for Scotland and GB&I, golfing against and rubbing shoulders with the likes of Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose.

My junior golf successes include winning the Daily Telegraph UK Junior Championship filmed by Channel 4 in Sea Island, Georgia; reaching the semi final of the Scottish Boys Golf Championship and winning the European Boys Golf Championship.

Boys golf team wise, I was part of a Scottish Boys Golf Team that reached the semi final and final of the European Boys Team Championship in consecutive years.

I was fortunate enough to be educated in Midland College in Texas, USA, and enjoyed my two years of collegiate golf in the USA, where I reached a high of nos 2 in the NJCAA Rankings.

I am very proud to have won a record number of Scottish Golf Union ranking events and been crowned 2003 Scottish Mens Amateur Golf Champion.

I finished 4th in the European Amateur, reached the semi final of the British Amateur and have won amateur golf medallist honours throughout Europe. This included finishing runner-up in the Portuguese Amateur and 3rd in the Chiberta Grand Prix.

The pinnacle of my representative team golf was being part of the ‘three-in-a-row’ history making 2003 Walker Cup win against the USA at Ganton, England, and 2002 GB&I St Andrews Trophy success versus Europe in Switzerland.

Prior to turning professional I represented Scotland and GB&I with distinction and had a 75% winning record.

After the Walker Cup I immediately secured my European Tour and Challenge Tour playing rights. Whilst I made numerous cuts on tour, I was unable to play aswell as I would have liked prior to being troubled with injury.

I recorded victory in Egypt and led the Challenge Tour Welsh Challenge event with nine holes to go. I finished 3rd and 4th in the PGA Europro Tour Championship.

I was reinstated after three years of being unable to compete and more recently represented Scotland at amateur golf level in South America and South Africa.

You’ve heard my golfing background and I now look forward to hearing more about your golf and golfing experiences from either visiting www.golfblogspot.co.uk or connecting with us on the social networks at TWITTER and FACEBOOK.

All the best for the golf season and I look forward to welcoming you back to this website and getting feedback on this golf website to help improve this experience to all visitors.
